  • Strange Status Change

In few days time my GC interview is coming up. I have the notice to appear for interview that I got last month.

I have now received text message for me and my wife that your case status has been updated. So i went to the uscis website and saw the status as case is ready to be scheduled for interview whereas for past for almost 4 weeks it has been interview was scheduled.

This is really confusing. How can this type of reverse status change can happen? Has anyone experienced this?

I'm having the same issue. My interview is next Wednesday and I'm very confused now. I'm still planning to go to the interview next week, unless I receive a written notice that my interview is indeed rescheduled.

I'm having the same issue. Somebody just told me that I would receive a mail soon... it's so frustrating. I thought about going to the interview as scheduled (next Wednesday), but maybe my interview is really rescheduled.

Yes,i did.My interview is scheduled on 8th Dec,and i got the status update on 5th Dec that it is 'Ready to be scheduled'.Called USCIS Customer care today and was advised i should go ahead with my original scheduled date and ignore this update.I would suggest you call up customer care to confirm your case. It's a 'looong wait' of 30 mins to 'speak' to someone though :-),good luck !

It has been such a long stressful journey to get to this point. So much preparation and resources spend so I will just show up for the interview with my letter and then whatever happens, it happens. Hopefully outcome be positive. I think even if I call and they say don’t show up, I will still show up just in case.

I posted here because I just wanted to know has anyone experienced this and now that i know, so all is good .

As they say, 'Better be safe than sorry'

Yeah, nothing to lose just go to the field office, worse that would happen is they would say Sir, your date has been postponed.

And hopefully, this beats the dead horse. Go to your appointment. And prepare thoroughly. Wear professional attire.
