TIMELINE so far
11/28/18 Submitted concurrent filing via USPS next day service to Chicago Lockbox (Connecticut filer). No lawyer.
11/29/18 Package delivered and signed for by R Mercado
11/30/18 Emails from my bank; USCIS tried to charge credit card (declined), therefore package rejected. We had received a new credit card; which
unfortunately we forgot to activate, (our error).
12/07/18 Received package from USCIS with rejection notices and green paper. Will resend package tomorrow with new Forms G-1450 placing green paper at
the top, I also included a brief cover letter.
NOTE: My original submission was completely rearranged. I did a quick double check to ensure that all the forms where included and signed, pictures and the
important supporting documents such as I-94, passport pages birth certificates, divorce papers etc. Seemed all was well so I didn't sweat
about anything I didn't immediately see. Also I left the package as USCIS had it.
Worthy of note is that all forms and supporting documents had computer numbers at the bottom so I believed it was important to resend as is.
I also went online and using receipt numbers I actually checked my status which showed that my package was rejected and they instructed me to
get in touch with them if I did not receive the package by 01/02/19. All the best and I'll continue to read and update my situation. Forum is very useful.
