  • Initial Evidence Help!!!!

when i submit my i-864 form i did put myself in the household income then they mail me that

For the intending immigrant's income to be included in the household income, it must have been lawful
source and earned while the intending immigrant was authorized to work in the United States. The intending
immigrant listed on the petitioner/sponsor's Form I-864, Affidavit of Support or Form I-864A, Contract
Between Sponsor and Household Member, must submit evidence that they were authorized to work in the
    United States.

I shouldnt put myself in what should i do submit to them? can i just find another sponsor to sponsor me? or any suggestion please?

    thank you

    thank you

I sponsored myself as my wife isn't working. Did not take co-sponsor.
When I did this I was on F1 visa but on OPT EAD.
Had been working for more than a year, filed taxes when I was single but luckily I filed my AOS in March end 2017 & I was married 2016 Sep. So in 2017 we filed taxes as married but separate filing.
I guess you can sponsor yourself as long as you earn well enough or maybe 300% or something above poverty index line based on family members you have.

Maybe you can find a 'co-sponsor' to help you file your AOS?
Co-Sponsor can be in relation with your spouse, like in-laws...
Either way just consult a lawyer to be safe... you may have to spend some money for lawyer but it would be worth it in long run.

As stated already you can sponsor yourself as long as you were authorized to work. Did you have a valid visa and work authorization when you were working? Did you file taxes?
This is my opinion, not legal advice!
