Quiet at the local field office

So yesterday we went for the fingerprinting appointment at the local USCIS field office, totally expecting to have to wait in line.

The appointment was at noon and we arrived early. Walked to the fingerprinting counter and the agent was reading a book with NO ONE waiting to get fingerprint scanned. Seriously, there was no one else there waiting in line. Anyway, filled out a form and was done in 10 minutes.

BTW for those of you who had your fingerprints taken, did the agent helping you roll your fingers left to right to get a full edge-to-edge finger print scan? I was thinking "wow this finger print machine is serious business!"

Bio done. One step at a time.

Yes, haha. He also let me redo my signature many, many, many times because I had not practiced a signature with my new last name yet! We even looked at the results together and he would tell me if he thought it looked good or not. Amusing moment in the GC process!

Haha, we did the signature only once. You guys even explored the signatures... that's funny. That means there weren't that many people waiting behind you to get their finger prints taken then right?

There were a few, but it was pretty quiet. I was surprised - I'm filing from Manhattan so I thought it would be super crowded.
