Hello everyone,
I am feeling quite desperate seeing your circumstances and looking at mine. Here is my situation
Greencard through spouse
12/28/2018 - mailed application from Fairfax, VA
12/31/2018 - received at Texas lockbox
01/04/2019 - Check cashed
That's it. I have not received the I-797c and no further processing has been done.
02/28/2019 - Called and created inquiry regarding missing I-797c
03/06/2019 - Inquiry marked as "completed" on USCIS tracking website
But still no letter. I have called so many times, and they say the letter is on the server but not yet printed and not yet mailed so I should keep waiting. My drivers license expired 01/24/2019 and I could lose my job because I cannot drive and driving is essential to my job. I cannot schedule InfoPAss with the Washington D.C. office because the slots are always booked. I have looked for months.
I have scheduled an appointment in 2 weeks with the office in Norfolk, even though that is not my jurisdiction, because I am hoping they will see my VA drivers license and accept me for the appointment anyway.
Why is this happening? Most people on this forum are having their processing happening so quickly. Am I just unlucky? And what can I do?
