I-485 card being produced / international travel

I'm the applicant of an employment-based Green Card (from an H-1B visa):
- Interview: 11/14
- Online status changed to "Case approved": 11/20
- Online status changed to "Card being produced": 12/12

Does anyone have a sense of when I can expect to receive the card in the mail?

I'm supposed to travel for the holidays (leaving this Friday 21). If I don't receive the card by then, would I be refused admission when I come back to the US/what are the risks? USCIS is not able to give me an ADIT / temporary I-551 stamp (they told me they don't provide such stamps when the card is being produced).

Assuming you're returning by plane, you would be prevented from boarding your return flight if you lack proper entry documents.

If you don't receive the card by 12/21, we'll, your trip is essentially ruined.

Quite frankly 12-12 to 12-21 is cutting it waaaay too close. We're not even booking tickets without the card on hand.

Did you get anywhere with this? I called with almost the same issue, status shows card being produced but we’ve never had status approved and I was told as it’s still pending I should travel on advanced parole unless we have the approval in the mail before we fly. I think I’ll call them back now though!!
