Good Morning everyone, I’m new to posting but I’ve been reading other posts to help with my journey. Green card marriage based.
    PD March 2018
    Biometrics April 2018
    EAD received September 2018
    Interview Scheduled October 2018
    Actual interview Nov 26 2018
It’s been 3 weeks since my interview and still no status change online or anything in the mail. When we had interview the man that interviewed us said that he had enough evidence and everything looked good and he kept a few papers such as bills and a few pictures and he said everything looked good and that he didn’t have a reason not to approve me but that he had to review what I had given him and handed me the paper that said my case needed to be reviewed. I know everyone says I should be patient and not worry but that’s easier said than done. I’m really worried about the outcome. Thanks to everyone posting their experiences, it’s been helpful for sure. Good luck to everyone.

Most people are approved. If not, then you get invited to a second interview, which most people in real marriages get through just fine. If USCIS has any concerns after the 2nd interview, then they EITHER issue a NOID (Notice of Intent to Deny) on which they ask you to explain any areas of concern. And as long as you provide documentation, and a logical but verifiable explanation to their concerns, they will approve you; OR they will just show up unannounced at your door. If you have a true marriage and are living in marital union, then you have nothing to be worried about.

Sometimes they skip the second interview and go straight to NOID or straight to home visit OR they just talk to your neighbors and hear what they have to say.

All this being said, it only ever goes that far, if your case has major holes and inconsistencies. Other than that, you have nothing to worry about.

You could always reach out to your US Senator and ask them to inquiry on your behalf. I know of someone in Minnesota who had a great interview and the office said "You are approved! I will wrap this up and you should get your green card within a few weeks"

Well, they had been waiting well over 2 months after their interview when I told them to reach out to their US Senator to inquire. They actually waited over 90 days after their interview before following my humble advice. They even went on Infopass and the officer they spoke to, told them it looked like the interviewing officer had forgotten to click "Approved". That officer sent a memo to the interviewing officer reminding them to click approve. Even after that, nothing happened.

As soon as they reached out to the Senator, however, USCIS approved their case two days later.

      All the best,

      USCFFS

What’s the status on your update? What does it say? Yes he was young and he had dark hair and looked Latino. Very nice but serious, my husnbad said he seemed rude but I didn’t feel like he was.

            Sacramento interview

I guess maybe it’s just that office that’s taking a long time. I don’t know but it’s upsetting, it’s almost going to be a month since the interview . Please keep me posted if you hear anything back. I’d appreciate it and I’ll do the same.

My husband and I have been married over a year but been together almost 5. We own our home and I felt we gave more than enough evidence but maybe not. I forgot to mention he has a criminal record. Is that going to affect us? I heard it wasn’t. He’s filling for me so I thought it wouldn’t.
