My I485 is finally approved on Dec 7th, after 10 months from my interview in Feb. My GC has been out for delivery since 12/11, but I have gotten nothing so far. It looks like USPS has lost my green card. Does anyone have similar experience? Any advice? Should I keep waiting, filing a e request, or prepare to file a I90 for replacement card?

If you are saying it was out for delivery that means you have a tracking number, hence you know which USPS office it was being distributed from, have you tried going to that office?Marriage based AOS

Hey! I'm sorry this is happening. Same thing happened to me, kinda of.
I did receive my green card however that was before USCIS gave me the tracking number and before USPS started moving my piece of mail from Kansas to Arkansas.
I never received what I was supposed to get from USPS. I hope I didn't have 2 green cards coming for me somehow and one is lost.
I've been dealing with them for about a month, they finally got tired and said they sent back to USCIS. I asked for a tracking number for the return and they stopped responding.
I guess I'll never know what was on that package. My was just like your "out for delivery" and never got home.

Update from the post office
So I went to my local post office today. They told me that the mail is out for delivery, so it has been with the carrier. I called the carrier and it seems like there has been some delay in mail delivery in my region. Hopefully my GC will show up in my mail box in the next a couple days. If not, I will try to call the carrier again, and hope they can help me locate my GC.

I don't love confrontation so it was a bit stressful, but I am SO glad that I pushed back. Sometimes things get lost and it's just easier for them to not really look into it and assume it'll show up. Not important to their lives, you know?
I would suggest doing something similar. Take a day off if you can, or go after work. Make sure the post office knows you're looking for something. Keep calling them. Ask them to call the carrier. Wait for your carrier, ask them in person. Give them suggestions ("could it be under a seat in the truck?" "could it still be at the sorting facility?" "could it be in the mail locker?") and see if that triggers something in their minds.
Good luck!!!2/20: Received at Chicago lockbox

I do not have data/studies/citations on HOW OFTEN this happens, but it happens often enough to make the news. SOOOOOO for the love of the SWEET BABY JESUS folks, when USCIS approves your green card, place a hold on ALL YOUR MAIL, and lift it once you pick up your Green Card at the Post office.Last edited by samlynn; 12-21-2018, 08:05 PM.
