Hi forks,
I want to share my story with you. We went to the interview today and got approved on the spot. Hand delivered a letter from the officer saying "You have been granted lawful permanent residence as of [today]. Your code of admission is IR-6."
My timeline:
5/1/2018 Package sent out
5/3/2018 Package delivered (PD)
5/8/2018 Fingerprint fee accepted
5/9/2018 2 Checks cashed + 3 Receipts received
5/18/2018 Biometrics appointment notice received
5/30/2018 Biometrics appointment
6/12/2018 Ready to be scheduled for an interview
10/5/2018 I-765 New card is being produced
10/12/2018 EAD received
11/16/2018 Interview was scheduled
11/26/2018 Interview notice received (delayed delivery due to Thanksgiving)
12/21/2018 8:45am Interview
We have been married for over 2 years. The questions we were asked were simple. Like "how did you first meet each other?"
However, I did thorough preparation for the documents we submitted as well as for the interview.
The officer said it helps! This made her job easy, too.
In and out about half an hour.
Good luck everybody!
