Handling I-485 Interview questions for recipient of public benefit e.g medicaid?

Hello everyone I am a married F1 student planning to begin my permanent resident (green card) process through NIW. I am a little concerned about how to handle some questions in the adjustment of status stage(1-485), related to receiving 'public benefits' (Medicaid, WIC etc) and filling appropriate tax forms. Here is the situation, I have a child who was born here in the USA. The expenses for the birth were covered mainly by Medicaid. We have also been receiving WIC support. Before receiving WIC we specifically asked the officials about the legality and got assured that the support was only for the eligible child (US citizen) and not the parents who are considered 'ineligible'(non-citizens). Also, regarding tax, my ‘trusted’ CPA has been filing the 1040A form for me right from start (I am less than 5 years in the US). I just recently got to know that the 1040NR form should be the appropriate one. In case questions related to these issues come up during adjustment of status interview, how should it be handled, or what can someone do in this kind of situation. Thank you.
