I am currently working as a trainee at a hospital, my perm and I-140 are based on a job that I will be taking right after I am done with my training at the same hospital starting on 8/1/2019. My lawyer recommended requesting to delay the interview till after 7/30/2019 (once I am actually done with training and have started the job), but I am wondering if this is actually necessary and if I should just go ahead with the interview (5 months before the starting date of the job). What would be the worst case scenario?
I currently have valid H1b.
Thank you all
