Hello everyone,

Does "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" means the background check is done?
I got that update on my I-485, but on my I-765 is showing "we are processing the fingerprints for your Form I-765" for more than 90 days.
Not sure what it means, did anyone get the same update? and whats after that?

Pretty sure that means that everything is in order for you to proceed with the interview and that includes the background check. Some case trackers don't update properly with the timeline or they don't update at all until the whole process is said and done.

I might be wrong, but I believe this is not connected to the background check and that it just means that everything is in order regarding the papers you sent. At least, that's what I've read in the past. If anyone knows for sure...

You still have a long wait until the EAD is processed. That status means your application is complete, you have submitted all the documents needed and it has nothing to do with the background check.

The only reason makes me kinda worry is that I did not received "fingerprint review was completed"
Although my I-485 was "we are processing the fingerprints for your Form I-485" before it changed to ready for schedule.

I guess Im overthinking it

For me my status was on ‘fingerprint fee received’ from July through December. Then on December 24th my status changed to ‘ready to be scheduled for interview’ and about an hour later I again received updates that my ‘interview was scheduled’. For a minute I started believing in Santa again.

Im not worry about the interview for now, Im on OPT and its expired end of March so I need my EAD to keep my job.
The interview eventually it will come.
