Family name capitalization?

Hi all,

I hope you are getting good responses!

I have one question please. Some of (possibly old) documents say for example the family name in I-765 must be written in uppercase.
1. Is it still true? I don't really know why.. Capitalization doesn't seem to be a good reason to delay the processing of the form.
2. If that's the case, is it the same for I-131 and I-485?

We did not do that.

Yes, I checked the USCIS instruction and it doesn't have anything about it. That's why I'm confused because some third party material (actually from my attorney) says so.

Anyway, thank you for sharing your experience and I think I can stick to the official instruction.

That made sense when people would manually fill it out with poor handwriting. Now most people just fill it out in Adobe!
