  • Interview in a town nearby?

Has anybody interviewed not at where you work? We are in the middle of moving back to Orange County but I realized that if we live in San Bernardino County like Chino Hill I can get the interview a lot faster. Rent is cheaper too actually. So I am thinking if we should just live in San Bernardino County first and commute to OC until the interview.

Certainly possible if you are willing to take the commute for the time being :-). I live in Riverside county and commute to North County on a daily basis and the one-way commute can vary between 1 to 2 hours. Not sure about Chino Hills to Orange County, but I would definitely check it, especially if you need to come close to LA county on the way.

I'd suggest if you have filed already then wait to move until you've received your GC.
Change of address would mean reassigning it to new USCIS center which may take more time....
I stay in MA state, here the wait time is for 15+ months but I got it interviewed and everything from start to finish in 9 months.
So you literally cannot go by the time it says on their website. Sometimes people get lucky & sometimes they have to wait forever.
