Congratulations! Interesting that your interview is almost 7 weeks out, which seems like a longer interim time than others have received. Did you finally receive your mail notification, as well?

We received a text message on Friday that our interview is scheduled so I'll be curious to find out the date. If we don't receive anything in the mail by mid-week I will be like you and call Tier 2 officer!

        • Thanks and congrats on your interview! I did receive the mail notification early the following week. It is a bit weird that a number of us January filers are getting these interview notices prior to hearing about EAD etc. Here's hoping everyone else gets good news as well.

              • Hey guys! Pretty new to this site, but I liked the idea of keeping track of our immigration case and seeing how others are progressing. I'm not a January filer, but I've been told some stuff about the EAD that I thought you guys might want to know.

                I filed I-130, 1-485, and I-765 with an attorney

                Applications Filed with Attorney: 6/7/19
Applications Sent to USCIS (Not sure which lockbox bc my attorney sent it, I'm guessing Chicago since I'm in Ohio ): 6/11/19
                Applications Received: 6/14/19
                Applications Notice Date: 6/19/19
                Form I-797C NOAs (3) Received: 6/24/19
                Biometrics Notice: 6/21/19
Biometrics Notice Recieved: End of June/Early July
Biometrics Appt Date: 7/12/19 (Done today)

I talked to my attorney about getting the EAD and she told me they are stopping the process of giving them out before the interview since the time frame to receive the EAD and the
interview date are so similar. She said people were taking their EAD and selling it for money, since they get access to working once they get their green card (if I heard correctly). So I wouldn't be too surprised if they aren't giving out EAD much anymore without the help of your congressmen.

                • January Fillers!!!
Im getting the "Interview jitters". Its two weeks from today and my mission is to get everything ready. I see few of you will be having the interview soon.

We are prepared, all documents have copies, have some new pictures, did some review with hubby. My first package was loaded in my opinion, therefore there isn't much new to bring. We dont have health insurance together (I don't have a SS), not home bills (it's my in-laws house), but we have the banks accounts, the 401k/retirement plan, Amazon, Taxes, a puppy and an amazing marriage. Our lives are changing in a very positive way, and I have the possibility of this great job, so I hope the outcome of the interview to be positive right away.

Any other suggestions? You guys have been very helpful throughout this process.

Seems like you have most bases covered, particularly if you front-loaded your original submission. We are in the same boat--interview in 3.5 weeks. In addition to bringing the original documents (birth cert, marriage cert., etc.) that USCIS requests, I'm including recent paystubs to prove I'm still employed, 2018 Tax return transcript, extra photos, renewed apartment lease, along with recent utility bills, bank statements and joint credit card statements. I will also bring the entire copy of our original submission as reference, just in case. I have gone over typical interview questions with my husband just to make sure we're on the same page. The whole point is that you have prepared sufficiently so that both of you can be relaxed and natural at the interview. I trust what others have said: if you prepare and have a legitimate marriage, there is is nothing to worry about. Looking forward to a great summary of your interview experience in 2 weeks!

From what I've seen on this site, how fast you get an interview depends on:

70% - The volume of other applications in and management of your assigned field office
20% - Thoroughness of your application submission
                        10% - Luck

                        It's a mysterious process!

Yeaah right I agree! I dont know now how they really process cases. I saw a lot of March filers getting theirs already. My friend from Florida filed last March, and just today got an update of the GC was mailed to her with no interview at all!

Really starting to think I wont hear anything or will my status change until I am notified that interview is ready to be scheduled. Nothing yet as they haven't emailed me to ask for evidence. Which is why I am thinking they are not going to. But I have a job offer that the start date has already passed. I have a contract that I will provide as proof.
