I think my lawyer is lying to me, he first told me the he sent the package to Texas,they have answered yet because of the government shutdown,when I went back to him and ask why he sent it to Texas instead of California, he told me that where he sent it, he also told me i will receive a receipt within two weeks, i guess he just mailed it

Base on different applications. All documents should be sent to different offices to process. You can find more information on the USCIS web site. For example, if you are filing I130 with I485. You need to send the package to one address in chicago. But if you file I485, then the package should be sent to another address.

Just had my biometrics done on the 31st. What was on the courtesy letter?

I'm assuming now that we are done with biometrics, all we need is to wait...

Some only receive it right before the interview...don?t rely on that!

Finally received my receipts in mail. It came from National benefits center.

PS: Do you get an update on Case Status if biometrics letter has been sent?

Congrats! In my case, the update was in the app stating fingerprints payment received. And then the same week I got a letter in the mail with the appintment date and time. No update online.

That really sucks. I think you can request your lawyer to give you the shipping receipt (USPS/Fedex), so that you can track your package and know if they have actually mailed it. If you don't receive any update within two weeks, there must be something wrong.

i sent all of them on Jan 15 for overnight delivery. It was delivered on January 16. Hope to hear from USCIS soon! good luck to us january filers!
