Yup my employer filed them in Jan the day I came back to the US from vacation. (Edit: just realized my typo)

Does my EAD become invalid when my green card is approved/produced?

From what I read, yes, the EAD is no longer valid when you have a valid GC.

I just click yes I had the same thought process as you though I was worried that once I got into an interview and explained this to them they might feel as though they were being deceived. Just explain it in plain terms and say you need a contract as proof of work and it can be sent off to hurry up the process. But I always tell them that this is NOT a guarantee and I cannot 100% promise them that I will receive it immediately. I have applied for multiple jobs and always just said yes I am eligible. Otherwise, your application will not even be looked at or taken under consideration.

              • Marriage based AOS, i-485, i-765
                2/22/19 Case Received
                3/14/19 Finger print review completed
6/5/19 Request for initial evidence mailed
6/7/19 Request for EAD expedite due to financial loss
6/10/19 Email from USCIS case cannot move forward until RIFE is received
7/1/19 Request for evidence received by USCIS
7/9/19 Request for EAD expedite due to financial loss

Yesterday in the mail I received the same request for initial evidence. The date on the letter was post marked July 15. Even though last week I spoke to an agent over the phone and he said my account does show they received my updated information. They asked for another copy of my birth certificate. My lawyer suspected they didn't like the fact that it was handwritten. So my parents had to get a typed one from the records office in my home town. The other piece of information they needed was another i-485. Not entirely sure why but my lawyer printed out a new one filled it out and I signed it. So since 6/5 my account has been on hold and hasn't had any movement or progress. I'm going to call again this morning and see what the issue is. Getting real impatient at this point.

If the card is already in production, you are allowed to work, the problem is how to prove you can work if you don't have the card
I received the card exactly 7 days after the status change.

You can start applying for jobs now since by the time you will start working or when they will ask you to prove your work authorization, you should def have the card in hand.

                        Here's my stat.

Filed on 1/9/19. Received on 1/11/19. National Benefits Center.

I-765 status updated to 'card being produced' on 7/15 and subsequently 'card was mailed' on 7/18. Based on some googling, it should be delivered in 2 business days.

The I-131 status was never updated from 'case was received' which is confusing.

                          • I was on an L1 visa when I arrived to the US but I recently resigned from work so I deem that my L1 visa is no longer valid. It’s been 200 days (over 6.5 months) since we filed for AOS but so far we haven’t gotten any updates after 3/26.

Is it possible to request to expedite my EAD and AP? Before I resigned from work, the immigration lawyer told me I can’t expedite my EAD because I was employed that time and my husband should also be able to support me. Now that I’m no longer employed, do you think it’s worth to request to expedite or should I just wait it out? I want to start looking for a new job but I don’t know when’s the right time to do so

                            • Hi @ Rachull12 my case also is marriage based AOS RD Jan18, biometric feb 12 no EAD/AP case still on case received, I'm beyond frustrated so I called Uscis on monday to request my ead expedite based on financial loss and today being the 3rd day no update on it still. As a matter of fact I don't know what to expect. Please kindly keep us informed once you get an update. Thanks

                              • I called USCIS last Friday morning after I received the evidence request again even though they confirmed on my online account they received it. The agent on the phone said she couldn't really tell me much but just to wait 30 days from the date they updated my account (July 31st) so I will call again in 6 days time to see if any movement has happened or can happen. Because of these identical requests for evidence my case has been on hold since 6/5. Just sitting there doing nothing, with nobody looking at it.
