  • Can government shut down affects uscis?

My documents for AOS was sent out on December 16 2018 & it was delivered to USCIS on December 21. I still haven't received my I-485 Receipt notice? Do i need to be worried? How soon can i expect to receive the notice from them?? Do i receive a receipt notice for EAD & AP along with my 485 receipt notice??
How soon do they send out the FP appointment notice??

Government shutdown doesn't affect USCIS as it is a fee-funding agency (funded by our application fees). If your credit card/checks have been cashed already, you should be able to receive the receipts in two weeks. If they haven't cashed your check, they probably haven't received your package. And yes, you should receive I485, I765 and I131 receipts at the same time if you filed them concurrently. I received my finger print notice in mail a week after receiving I485 receipts. I would suggest you to call USCIS to check if they have received your case. I had the same problem back in June because my spouse sent our package to a different USCIS address, not the one to Chicago (wasted two months in waiting...).
