I-485 AOS Interview - Marriage based

    I-485 AOS Interview - Marriage based

    Hello guys!

    I just came back from my interview with my wife. The interview was alright. The officer asked us how did we meet, and if we did a wedding or a small party. Then went through my application and verified the information there.

    We went organized and having a whole binder. He said that you are organized. I told him: yes we made it easy for you so you make it easy for us then he laughed lol. He didn't take the binder, he just asked for several bills, rent, and pictures.

    At the end, he told me that everything looks fine and he will need to review the new documents that we submitted to him and then his supervisor has to review the case too and we should expect an update within 2 weeks. He said also that we will mail you if we need further evidence documents.

    I was hoping with an approve on the spot but that didnt happen. I'm little bit worried.

    Any suggestion or previous experience?

    03/28/2018 (Day 8): USCIS cashed the check.
    04/05/2018 (Day 16): 4 NOAs.
    04/13/2018 (Day 24): Sent RFE.
    04/18/2018 (Day 29): Walked in.
    04/21/2018 (Day 32): RFE.
    05/24/2018 (Day 65): RFE response.
    06/03/2018 (Day 75): Courtesy Letter.
    08/14/2018 (Day 147): Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.
    08/15/2018 (Day 148): EAD is being produced.
    08/17/2018 (Day 150): EAD was mailed.
    08/21/2018 (Day 154): EAD and SSN in hand.

    Sounds like everything went ok. It’s a myth that one must be approved on same day. So don’t worry you overcame the biggest hurdle already.

      That's what he said. I hope my case status changes soon. I'm worried too because in the letter they asked me to bring a proof of sponsor citizenship. I brought it with me but he didn't ask for it and I forgot to give it to him.

        On Tuesday, I got a new mail asking me to send my wife's birth certificate which I brought with me to the interview but the IO didn't ask for it. I sent it on the same day and they received today. Nothing changed on the Online Status. Still saying interview was scheduled.

          No need to worry

          Hi same thing happened to me. Got letter three days after interview asking for husband birth certificate. We sent it immediately and four days later status changed.
