  • Interview tomorrow. (What to do?)

I have an accordion folder filled with documents. I have copies of all birth certificates, passports, I-94, EAD cards, marriage license...etc along with the originals. Also, lots of screenshots of messages, ******** interactions, other proof...
Once at the interview, how do you present the documents? Would I just hold my folder/photo album? Do they usually ask to see what documents they want and I would just get them out and hand them over?
I know that the I-693 is something they don’t have from me yet. Would I have to bring that up with them?

I’d appreciate anyone's advice and has gone through this!

There are a lot of people posted their interview experiences and tips in the link below. That should answer all your questions if you have time to read. You should definitely bring your I-693 form (in a sealed envelop) if they have never received it. Otherwise, they will send you a RFE after the interview. If they don't ask for further evidence/information from you, you can still bring it up that you have brought I-693 for them and any additional bona fide evidence from the date that you submitted your petition. Make sure you have some evidence to show that you have commingling finance such as joint bank statement, joint tax return etc. Good luck on your interview!

Typically the officer will ask if you have additional documents to submit at the start. This is where you would present the medical and other items you need to submit. The photo album I am not sure how to handle, but I would in any case make it visible to the officer so he/she knows you have it.

      Good luck!

Update in case anyone comes across this.

Interview went well. The officer wasn’t all that intimidating. We had some laughs and she even joked around!
She said that our file (the one she was marking off of) was “pretty big”. I had my huge accordion file with me also. I kept it on top of the table in front of me. Once she asked for my medical, I took it out and handed it to her. She looked over it while asking us how we met, who proposed, etc.
she asked if we had any bank statements and took the lease agreements, screenshots of my old phone number I had with a joint account with my husband at Verizon, Geico, and renters insurance, also.

She never asked for originals of anything I brought and just referred to the original package that was sent in.

She said that she didn’t see anything that made her think our marriage wasn’t real “especially with a 3rd baby on the way” and that her supervisor would go through it and I should have my GC soon!! She also let me know I could apply for citizenship on the 3rd Anniversary of our marriage.

So thankful this is over and I can now get some sleep.

Congrats. Just to clarify, what she told you about citizenship is incorrect. You may apply for citizenship after three years of having a green card, not after three years of being married.

That’s what I had known, too, before she said that. She even told me where to find the study guides. But I wasn’t about to argue with her!

                No problem!
I’m 6 months pregnant so I wore what I was comfortable with. It was a hi-lo Black floral dress. It has a small lace up in the chest area so I covered up my girls (and chest tattoo) with an infinity scarf. I also wore a thin black cardigan. Black slip on shoes.
My husband wore jeans, a button up shirt and black polo shoes. I noticed a lot of people there weren’t very formal (Dresses, long cardigans, jeans, casual tops with leggings..etc). I only saw one woman wearing a blazer and suit pants.
