  • Marrying a older women while on student visa.

    Hi Everyone,

I am a 34-year-old man and is on a student visa and working on a day 1CPT while doing my masters. Fortunately or Unfortunately, I had a physical relationship with my landlord. She is 56 years old and I am 34 never married. Will it cause any problems if we apply for marriage license in Florida and get married? what could be the possible consequences.

There is nothing in the law that prohibits marrying an older woman or man. You can marry whoever you want as long as they are of legal marrying age in your state.

Not a problem although, the USCIS is known to be suspicious about marriage with a big age gap. On the other hand, you don't have to marry her just because you had a "physical relationship". Just make sure you marry her for the good reasons and that you have a bona fide marriage, otherwise, you'll probably be denied.
