  • I485 Interview (Marriage based) Help

Hi guys, so today we finally had our interview, bright and early.

We were lucky that we had a very nice and pleasant Officer, and he was more than pleased with all our papers. He didn't even want to see our photo album, I insisted he did because it was freaking 40$ we spent printing the goddamned thing. LoL.

He was also very engaged while looking at our baby daughter, and he could tell we were Bona Fide all the way.

Anyways, after 10 minutes of casual conversation, he took my prints. Made me and the Wife sign a release stating that if we were lying, we could face time in the slammer (makes sense, this is not something to mess around with) and then said "You should be getting your card in 2 to 4 weeks".

Now, he did not textually said "YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED". He said "you'll get your card".. but I did not get the famous Passport Stamp, or anything reassuring. Also, USCIS hasn't updated to anything. Should I be concerned about his ambiguity? or am I just overthinking??

BTW. My Field Office was Oakland Park. FL.

    Thank y'all in advance.

Congratulations!! Sounds like your interview went great. I don't blame you with the photo album - I woulda wanted them to look at it too! At least you have a nice photo album to keep now
I have heard that since Trump has been in office you no longer get the temporary stamp in the passport? But that could be wrong. I think you're overthinking - everything sounds good. Of note, the tracking on my account is wrong currently, and someone else earlier said the same, so I wonder if they're having trouble updating cases. Not sure but something to keep in mind?

Sounds like it went great! Your interview sounds kinda like how mine went.
I did catch her say ?darn I forgot my stamp again?. So I didn?t get one (she didn?t even check any of my original documents that I had brought). But she said I should have my GC within a few weeks.
Mine was on the 17th. No emails or texts but my status for name change and ?interview was completed and must be reviewed? just came up today on the website.

I should have done the same as you about my photo album. I originally had a 600 photo one and then I decided to get a smaller 250 photo album. It took forever to put together and caption most of them! But she didn?t even ask to look so I didn?t bother.

I hope you hear back soon and congratulations!
