  • Interviewed today (1/24/19) approved on the spot. Field office -Philadelphia

We had our interview today and got approved on the spot. Officer asked basic questions like When and where we met? When was the wedding? How was the proposal? Where did you guys travel together? Where was your first date?

He asked Yes/no questions from form i-485. We submitted our lease, joint bank statements, auto and health insurance policy, life insurance policy with spouse being a beneficiary. We took a screenshot of our Instagram posts and printed them that showed our timeline when we were dating. We gave him plenty of pictures from the wedding. Many of our friends and family were in there. He looked happy seeing all of them.

He wanted to approve us for 10 years but he said he couldn't since we have only been married for 14 months. He put some approval stamps on my forms and said I will receive my GC in next 2-3 weeks. Out interview lasted for 15 mins. See my timeline below.

    Good luck to everyone!

    Congrats.

Is it just verbal approval or did the officer give you any document?

Only Verbal. He didn't give me any documents but he put approval stamps on i-485 and i-130 in front of me.

I had my minor son's interview on 24th, 1st IO said i am approving you application and he put couple stamps on application and in The end he said he will review the application and will make decision. So what stamp he might have put on application.
Did your IO did same thing putting stamp on application.

I think they were only approval stamps. My online status for both i-485 and i-130 forms got updated on the same day with "Cast was approved" status.
