  • I-485 approved / timeline process

    Hello everyone!

I was a silent reader for 10 months and today I finally got my green card, so I want to thank everyone for sharing their experience, seeing your experience motivated me.

This is my timeline (married to an US Citizen)
    Hartford, CT

    1. My husband filled the I130 (Petition for Alien Relative) in January 2018.
Got the NOA on Jan. 18th, my PD was 01/16/2018.
    2. March 2018, we filled the I485, I765 and I131, got the NOA on March 28th.
    My PD was 03/19/2018.
    3. March 30th got my appointment for the fingerprint, it was done on April 18th.
    4. April 12th, Request for Initial Evidence. They asked for my birth certificate, even when I submitted a copy of it and a translation with the I485.
    5. Jul. 16th case was ready for interview.
    6. Aug. 20th I131 and I765 were approved. my EAD and Social Security got in the mail on Aug. 24th.
    7. Sep. 17th I130 was approved.
    8. Dec. 12nd interview was scheduled, got the notice on Dec. 16th.
    9. Jan. 16th, 2019, we went to the interview.
    10. Jan. 19th got the approval notice on the mail.
    11. Jan. 25th got the green card on my hand.

The interview was fine, the officer said the case look good and had to review all the supporting evidence we bring to him on the interview.

For those who asked if it safe to use the Advance Parole, let me tell you that I travelled to Peru for 3 months and came back, no problem at all.

No, he didn't put any stamp on it. During the interview he wrote down on a blank paper most of the details that we gave him about our relationship. At the end I only saw him writing on his computer my new mailing address (my prior mailing address was my lawyer's). Hope you get some news soon.
