  • Advance Parloe & Cruise Vacation

    Hi all,

Im planning to take a cruise vacation to the Caribbean soon.
I got already my combo card.

I know and understand that getting on the ship will be permitted just it i have the right visas (on my foreign passport) for the countries the ship docs at.
Return to the USA I assume shouldn?t be a problem because of the Advance Parole.

My only concern is actually Puerto Rico.
The 3rd stop will be there, It?s USA territory.
Does it means i re-enter the USA and the advance parole will take action and then i leave again the US to the next destination on the cruise?

Does anyone have any insights about crusing? Puerto Rico and in between?

    Thanks!

Closed loop cruise are no problem, meaning any cruise leaving and returning from the USA. The problem is some countries you visit you might need a visa . I?m going on a cruise later is Year and one of the stop stated that because of my nationality I will need a visa. When I call Aruba embassy they stated that because I?m on a cruise and not staying I will not need a visa . Hope it help but do you research . PR is no problem .

Been on many cruises to Puerto Rico and you don't have to go through customs or anything like that. Off the ship and then on the ship. You will have a ship ID that you need to get on and off the ship. call the cruise line and ask them. You can also go to a forum called Cruise Critic https://boards.cruisecritic.com/discover/ you can search on there and see what they say

Puerto Rico is a US territory so it will work as if you've never left the United States. The only time you will need your AP is when you return back to the united stated seen where you will be entering through a port of entry you will need present that up an entering. Note that you will need a visa to enter certain country seen where you do not have a us passport or you may not need it depend on the type passport you have. Like my self i have a passport that can enter almost all the carribean countries so a visa is not necessary.
