  • When to Expect Interview Notice/Letter After Online Status Change??

    Hi guys,

I received an email and a text from USCIS on 1/23/2019 saying that scheduled an interview on 1/18/2019, now it has been 10 days since they "scheduled" the interview and I still HAVE NOT received any interview letter.
What can I do? ATL office is not taking info pass and does calling customer service even work??

Does anyone else have the same experience, how long does it take for y'all to get the interview letter??

From what I understand, on the 18 they scheduled the interview and they take a few days to mail the notice.

You should get it in a couple of days.

            Still no letter

It has been 12 days since status update, still no letter...

Will Tier 2 officer fax the letter to me if I call and request?

Typically the interviews are 5 weeks out, but if it has been 12 days you may want to call them to inquire about it.

                Update

So I called USCIS and found out they sent the interview letter to my old address...and somehow USPS did not forward my mail even though I set up mail forwarding service and all that...
What's the point of changing address with them if they don't update it in their system? Geez I changed my mailing address over a month ago and they still sent to the old address....

I don't understand why. They mention everywhere "if you move, change your address at xxx", then people go an change the address but they still send very important documents (I read other post that the EAD combo was mailed to old address) to the wrong address.

One question, are they going to send another letter to your new address or you have to go get your letter at your old address?

                  Unbelievable

They're not sending a new letter to my current address. But the officer said if I don't get it 5 days before the interview, I should call again and ask them to fax it to me.

I went by and left a note on my old apartment door today, but it's been a while now and I'm assuming the current tenant tossed it in the trash...

Just to give you hope. This happened to me too. I changed my address when I moved and 2 weeks later USCIS scheduled me for an interview. I already changed all address both with USCIS and USPS .

One morning,I received the interview letter through informed delivery at my old address. What I did was the following morning I went to my old apartment and luckily no one moved in yet and the office gave me the mailbox key. I looked and it was not there.

I called USCIS and they faxed it to me when I told them I did not get it. They said change of address takes 30 days before it goes into effect in their system. And I received my interview letter through fax same day.

Two days later the interview letter sent to my old address was forwarded to me new address by USPS. Meaning,I had two interview letters LoL

As long,as you?ve changed your address with USPS they will forward all mails that go to your old address to the new one themselves. They also forwarded other mails that had my name to my new address.

                        Goodluck
