  • My I-485 status on USCIS Web Site is changed at 47 days since interview was completed

    My I-485 status is changed back to "Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction" from "Interview Was Scheduled" today, 47 days after I had I-485 interview at Chicago field office. Although I was told by IO that my case would be transferred to TSC because of waiting for current, my current isn't active yet. Another weird thing is my I-140 case status was moved couple days ago from "Case Was Received" to "Case Was Approved" too. Although my I-140 had been approved since April 2nd, 2018.

    Two possibilities:
    1) USCIS is just cleaning up their web site, no actual moving happens.
    2) I am closer to the end. (I wish it belongs to this case! )

    Does anyone meet similar case? Any tips?
    Thanks!

    Seems "Interview Was Scheduled" record is removed

    A bit more details:

    That "Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction" state actually had been "old" message sent, since it was posted back to May 4th, 2018. After that, I received another two messages:

    Oct. 31th, 2018 - Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview;
    Nov. 1st, 2018 - Interview Was Scheduled;

    Waiting for I-485 on current

      In the same situation. My priority date is not current, so even though my interview was completed last month and everything went well, no new updates on website after the 'interview is scheduled' update. USCIS website has issues every now and then. They're shutting down websites this weekend for maintenance. So maybe you might see updates after that.

      It's also possible that the case will be on hold at the TSC until date becomes current. And you will see updates on your case only when priority date becomes current.

        To my understanding the Texas Service Centers holds all cases that are approved but no visa number available due to retrogression.
        Once the priority date becomes current, the TSC will also do the final adjudication and order the green card for these cases. So it's good news and a matter of waiting for the priority date to become current.

            Exactly in the same shoes with you. Interviewed in Dec 12 2018 for AOS EB1-C. San Francisco Field Office. VO said my case is pretty straightforwar, need to wait for my PD to become current. Gave me a note saying case must be reviewed. PD current from Jan 2019. Case Staus showing the same information you saw with your case. I believe it must be a hiccup of the USCIS website. I think you might want to try register with Myuscis or egov where you might get more accurate update on your case. GL!

              Thanks and Yes, I did register both.

              Yes, I did register both. Myuscis keeps latest record at Nov.1st - Interview was scheduled while egov restored the previous record at May 4th, 2018 that my casewas ready for interview. None of them are indeed 'latest' - Interview was done and I-485 await for becoming current.

                Hello all,

                Just wanna give an update about my case. My PD became the current since July so my I-485 was transferred to NBC and recently (July 10th) I got notification from USCIS website that my GC is produced, 2 days later (July 12th) the GC was mailed out to me, and today (July 17th) it was delivered to my mailbox finally.

                My case took 26 months since my PD (May-04th, 2017), it is long but still not bad.

                Wish you all get your GC sooner and Thank you for all the help!

                Good Luck!
