Hello All,
I want to share my experience. Our interview was done on Oakland Park, FL
I filed April of 2017 and receipt notice on April 27th.
We arrived 30 minutes before and the IO called about 40 min past appointment time. We brought a translator for my wife. The IO was very nice, very polite and the interview did go very well.
After the initial talk, swear to tell the truth and sign some papers and do fingerprint she asked my wife what was her address, my full name, my Birth City and my Birth date. She asked me the same questions after that.
After that she asked my wife why she came to the US, and if she ever left and then she asked me to talk about how we met, who proposed to whom, how was the weeding and who attended, I said it was just my friend but we had dinner at night with my family. She asked if I met her family as well, which we both met our families.
After that she asked for the evidences and I gave all the evidences I brought, Bank statements checking and savings, Credit card with her being an authorized user, her as my beneficiary for 401k and retirement plans, my wife on my Healthy, Dental and Vision Insurance, bills such as t_mobile with her phone listed, Xfinity with her name on the bill, some medical bills with our address addressed to her and our 2017 income tax filled together and also a transcript from IRS, print out from Expedia 5 trips we flew together to different places. I also gave her the updated medials since she did not ask me. She said Oh... the other one expired? I said yes..
The only think that threw me off a little is that I took a ver y nice album, 55 photos and I do photography as a hobby so the photos were really pretty and in several location since we travel a lot. She flipped through 1 single page asked where that particular photo was taken and closed the album and gave it back to us, She did not keep any photos as well.
After that just the 485 questions and she told us the case was being held for review with a decision arriving in the mail in the next 120 days!!
I checked today and no update online as of yet, I hope I get one soon!!
EDIT!! We just noticed my wife's passport might have stayed behind, we can't find it anywhere? Should we go there without an info pass? What do we do? Tips?
