  • Dallas TX interview done.

Hi Guys, me and my wife (USC) just had our interview in Dallas TX Feb 1st after 16 months of waiting (PD is 7/31/2017) and we are 3 months out to reach 2 years anniversary.

Interview went smooth, I?m funny and I added jokes in convo so IO was cracking up couple times. She is Caucasian lady ( about 35), her office is all the way down the hall on left side (if anyone gets interviewed in Dallas TX). When she walked us in her office, she asked ?Are yall ready fro weekends?? I was like We can?t wait to turn up then she laughed. After taking an oath, picture, my fingerprints and She done asked us to verify our information (she asked my wife about her name, DOB, parents name and she asked me same... I felt weird like why would we not know our own info?). After that, all the chit chat about when and where we met, how often seeing each other after first met, when and how is engagement, our jobs, when and where is marriage, some basic questions.... she wrote down everything she asked. Then she asked for bills, join bank account, insurance and she kept all that. Then she went through all Y/N question about my i485 then I signed at the end.

The whole interview went pretty good, really laid back, no pressure. At the end, my lawyer asked mentioned to her that we are 3 months out to reach 2 years anniversary then she said its too far out, she can?t hold the file that long. She said if approval, its only conditional GC. 😞

My only CONCERN is she didn?t ask for Join Tax Return and Medical Exam. I have a feeling that they will send me RFE for that, Dont you think so?

Interview took 45 mins exact, and after 45 mins, I got the update ?Interview was completed and Case must be reviewed?.

They are asking your name, DOB etcetera so you have identified yourself under oath.
If you submitted the medical exam and the officer did not ask about it, then you will be fine if the results meet all the requirements. If you forgot to submit the medical results, then yes you will get RFE. Tax returns are not mandatory, so if the officer did not ask about it, she probably did not deem it necessary.

Unless of course everyone was so focused on all the jokes that you all forgot to complete some relevant sections of the application. On the bright side, if you get RFE, you may delay the case enough to pass the conditional timeline :-)

Congrats and I believe all will be well. Quick question: I?m also in Dallas and will be having my interview later this month. I didn?t send my medical exam during the initial process so wasbasked to submit it during the interview. Can you recommend a place here in dallas for me to go get that done where the price is also affordable?

I went to Addi?s health clinic in Garland and that was cheaper than couple other places that listed on USCIS website. But still, $535. You need to get it done now cuz the blood test takes couple weeks to turnaround

Perhaps you had a really smart officer that is helping you delay the case enough to pass the two years 😇

So you didn't submit it, but did you receive a letter asking to bring them to your interview?

                      Just an update:
I got i 130 approved and RFE for medical exam a week after interview. The letter said I have to submit the medical exam before May 5th which is only 4 days prior my 2 years marriage anniversary. That means She gave me 90 days to submit it. Should I wait til may 30th or 1st to send it (I already have it here) so I might have chance to get 10yr GC ???

I think you are saying April 30th to send it.

I guess you could do that and hope to get a 10yr GC. I think if you send it this month, you definitely will not get a 10yr GC. Good luck in what you decide.

JUST AN FINAL UPDATE: PLEASE READ MY REVIEW IF YOU HAVE NOT.

I sent out my I693 on May 2nd and delivered May 3rd (fri) and 2 yrs anniversary on May 9th. I have been waiting and hoping she will approve my case after 9th. She did! Case approved May 13th but still didn’t know type of card will be. Yesterday, I got welcome letter saying about 10 year card and today I got physical PERMANENT RESIDENT CARD (10 year). GOD IS GOOD, guys. I hope and wish everyone a best luck
