Married to USC. Completed forms myself.

2/6/19 - Sent package (i130, i131, i864, i485, i795) for myself and minor child.

2/8/19 - package received by USCIS.

2/14/19 - Received my receipt notices

2/14/19 - Notice to take sealed i693 with us to interview.

2/21/19 - Biometrics scheduled.

3/4/19 - Went to biometrics (both minor child and I) office closed due to weather.

3/22/19 - Biometrics rescheduled

4/3/19 - Finally did Biometrics!

4/8/19 - Ready to schedule interviews.

4/9/19 - Interview scheduled for myself and minor child.

4/17/19 - Mailed new EAD card.

4/19/19 - Received EAD by priority mail.

4/28/19 - Received SSN by mail (USCIS applied in my behalf as new i795 have the option).

5/16/19 - Interview day in Manhattan, Brooklyn Borough Office. Husband, son and myself. Did not get approval on the spot. Received standard letter that said they don’t require any additional documents and have up to 120 days to provide a response.

5/16/19 - Status updated to “your new card is being produced” for both myself and minor child.

NOW - we wait for cards to be mailed

JB007 congrats, 3.5 months for GC! I envy you.

Did you file taxes with minor child without SSN? I hope you can amend your return and put the SSN now to get the full child tax credit.

Son wasn’t included on tax filing as he had no SSN. I used my tax ID to file with my husband.

I wish you a speedy journey as well!

Also, I included evidence in initial package submitted as I wanted to cross all my Ts. They never sent me a request for more evidence and perhaps that’s why my process was so much shorter than the estimated 20-22 months listed on the website.

Got my approval letters in the mail yesterday and tracking number for GCs!

Wow!! Congratulations! I also included a handful of evidence in my aos but still no interview schedule yet. I really wonder how they process cases. Some are fast but some were like forgotten.

Thank you so much! I honestly don’t know how they determine what to process and when because I know people who’ve been waiting for two years already. Maybe it’s luck of the draw. And if it is I truly hope yours come soon.

Hello! I've been reading the posts! Here is my timeline so far... It is frustrating. Congratulations to those who literally sped to the process!

03/11 RFE notice -responded in less than 2 weeks and they said they received it

3/28 original biometrics appointment. Rescheduled.

4/18 finally did biometrics

4/18 fingerprint review completed "and we are working on your i-765 at our national benefits center location"

That has been my status ever since then.

no update on ''fingerprint taken''
4/19 requested expedite ead and faxed proof
waiting for response on ead expedite
5/8 received a call from congressman office, USCIS replied and case will be reviewed by an officer
5/9 i485 RFIE letter sent to me, currently waiting for mail
5/13 called congressman this morning, he stated that RFE wouldn’t affect my EAD expedite and/or application, he said they are two different cases handled in different ways. Still waiting for RFE letter, hope it comes today.
5/13 RFE Letter came in the mail today requesting info regarding i864. Overnighted documents to the NBC, hopefully they change my status asap.
5/14 UPS overnight delivered to NBC.
5/15 RFIE received.
5/28 day 105 Called congressman's office to inquiry about my EAD expedite, also faxed extra evidence of wife's foot surgery. She'll be out of work for atleast 3 weeks and i need EAD asap to accept my work offer.

I am so frustrated with all of this delay. This is my 2nd time filing for AOS. The 1st time got rejected because we weren't able to provide a copy of our marriage certificate (which the Minister didn't register to our county office). Such a huge hassle and delay. Fast forward to May 2019, filed everything again (the whole AOS packet). I now badly need my EAD. How do I ask help from my Congressman?
