And good luck those who are still waiting!

I've lost several job offers and have one still hanging on. Would be nice to get back to work. My last OPT expired over a year ago.

                  • Day 190, no EAD.

I called USCIS yesterday to let them know that I have not received a response to my SR that was completed on 8/22/19. The operator was very nice and she was also surprised that I did not receive an email with a response to the SR. She asked me if I wanted her to open a new SR under a "different category" (so that I don't have to wait the 30 days). I said yes, and she created a new service request.

Following the call I checked my online account and saw a new entry saying the following:

"As of August 27, 2019, your Other - Tier 1, referral number T1***MSC, is currently not assigned for processing."

Unlike my previous SR, the referral number for this one starts with "T1". Does anyone have experience with T1 service requests?

Sorry to hear you are having such a long delay in getting your EAD. We did open an SR which started with T1 since we were outside normal processing time. SR was never assigned to anyone but somehow miraculously the EAD was approved 3 weeks later and we received the combo card. So, perhaps the fact that you called them and opened up another SR may "trigger" something to get your case moving faster. Let's hope so!

                        • My case was received Feb 22 this morning I got an email saying my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. No movement on the EAD as of yet. Good luck to everyone still waiting for progress I know it could be a while until I actually get the interview but grateful that things do seem to be moving. I have a question regarding the courtesy letter for the medical exam. Does anyone know when or how soon I should go get this? As we have no idea when the interview will be and last time I had a very hard time getting an appointment with the Dr as they were so few and far between.

Fingers crossed for everyone still patiently waiting!

I have been reading that once they schedule you for an interview, it is usually scheduled 30 days out. That may or may not be the case for your file. So you may be cutting it close. You might want to do the medical sooner than later. We sent in the medical when we filed I-485/I-130 back in Feb 2019. I read somewhere that it is now good for 2 years (double check this). Hope you get an update on your EAD soon.

Wow okay that is some quality information I will definitely look into the 2 year deal. I will email my lawyer and see what she says and I will report back. Thank you again!

                              EDIT
Effective November 1, 2018, Form I-693 will be valid for a maximum period of 2 years from the date of the civil surgeon’s signature on Form I-693, provided that the civil surgeon signs the medical examination 60 days before the date the applicant files an application for an underlying immigration benefit with USCIS.

                              • Follow PM88, I have sent service request 30 days ago start at SR..., and call them because my case hasn't assigned to any officer. He said he will request another service start at T1B...on August 29. He said I will get answer after 15-30 days, if not I can call back. So, today 5 Sep at 3 pm I got email that Card Production only change for I765. Good luck to everybody!
