That's so annoying! I hope everything works out. I didn't even know there could be a situation like that. Hey Guys! Do you know what the next step is after you receive your courtesy letter and complete Biometrics? For me, that was both yesterday. Do I get a letter saying my Biometrics has been reviewed? Or is the next step they send me a letter saying that my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview? Not sure what to expect over the next couple weeks. I applied for an expedite for my I-131 with my initial application (instructions said to write 'Expedite' on the top right hand - and I wrote it in my cover letter along with sending supporting evidence). Just not sure when it's appropriate to call them and check on the status of my expedite.Comment

After biometrics, not really more to do. just relax and wait for next communication.
about me, I did the medical examination the day after the the biometrics and, a couple of day after the biometrics, my status changed to "we're ready to schedule your interview".
now I'm in the status "Interview was scheduled" and I will have it on 04/18.
not sure if it's normal procedure, but all my other applications (I-130, I-131, I-765) are in the status "case was received" since the beginning. maybe they will be processed after the interview.

The next step should be ready to scheduled for interview, you don't get a letter but there is text notification if you enrolled for that. I received my courtesy letter before my biometrics and it changes a few days after I completed my biometrics.Originally posted by emanuser View PostMy timeline

Thanks guys - I checked my online status today (by the way I used the "My Case Status" where you enter your receipt numbers - my USCIS account didn't update). But it said as of 4/3 my case was ready to be scheduled for an interview! I wonder when I'll finally find out my interview date?? I also submitted an expedite for AP - I don't know if it's worth following up (I need to travel by June) or if I'll somehow get lucky and be scheduled in May...
Edit: Also was wondering, do you think that means I passed biometrics and that there won't be any RFEs (all the forms were correctly filled out?). Thanks everyone for sharing your experience/advice.Last edited by emanuser; 04-05-2019, 02:19 PM.Comment

Hi - it's due to a family health issue. I just put June because I had to choose a date and I wanted to give them additional processing time but I can't wait longer than that - I don't want to get into a situation where there's an emergency and I'm struggling to get permission to travel. I think the interview scheduling varies by cities...I've seen those in N.Carolina gets scheduled pretty fast, while Los Angeles or New York may take a while. Where are you applying from?Originally posted by emanuser View PostComment
