  • I693 new policy and interview requirements

    Hi forum members
I am sure there are members confused about what to do with new I693 policy.
-my application filled in Dec2017 including I693 that was done within 30 days before application was submitted.
-as per new policy effective Nov 2018 medicals are valid for 2 years if signed within 60 days before application was submitted
    - have interview scheduled for March 2019 as per new policy manual I ideally will not need new medical tests to be done again.
But interview letter still refers to old policy and states get new medical report if not already submitted within last 1year.

Any similar experiences at the interview on medicals?
    Appreciate your response in advance

You should be fine , my letter said the same and I had the same concern since my medicals were more than a year old (but still valid by the new regulations around the I-693 and the officer did not even mention it and approved us on the spot.. Worst case if the officer says you need a new medical (during the interview),just get it done and submit it as soon as possible. This might happen if you have a junior officer who does not know the new rules but hopefully you have someone who understands the new changes.
