Hello,
My wife and I had her Green Card interview today at the Baltimore, MD office. The interview went well, all questions were answered truthfully and accurately from both of us. The IO went through the basic initial questions, then asked us about how we came to meet, get married, etc. and then finished with the yes/no i485 questions. He then grabbed a few documents/photos we brought as evidence and told us the case would be under review as he does not ever make decisions on the spot. He did not end with any negative or positive remarks.
I've since checked the case status and it does in fact state that "the interview has been completed and the case must be reviewed". My question is:
- Does a longer than average review always mean something is wrong with the case? I've read on these forums that some people wait months and even years before getting any update. Is this cause for concern or is it simply because of processing backlogs?
I know I have a little while before I need to start worrying. Just trying to get ahead of the curve here. Thank you all in advance.
