Usually the biometrics appointment letter arrive a few days later. I was exactly 1 week later for us.

So far I did receive my i693 courtesy letter and my status changed Friday 5/10 to "case ready to be scheduled for an interview"

Am I right to assume that for processing time estimates for EAD I should look at the NBC, but for GC at the local field office?

Just wanted to update my status. Had my interview this past friday and was approved on the spot. The status for my I-485 changed on Sunday saying that on 5/31 my card was being produced.

This is awesome. Congrats. Where was your field office ? Btw what do you consider your case was easy? Were you under a different status ? I ask because my husband has had TPS for the past 20 years and he's always except for one time to complete biometrics and he already had an A number.

Is normal for people that get the interview letter in 3-5 months. EADs usually take longer than that. I think you will get your GC and will never get an EAD.
