  • Any experiences at interview with 2-year valid I-693?

My interview is approaching, i have a sealed I-693 from August 2017 (signed after AOS application was received by USCIS) so my medical should still be valid until August 2019. Has anyone recently, after the rules were updated last November, had any experiences with a medical being brought to the interview?

Did you have to explain to the officer?
were they aware of the new rules?
    did they deny you?

    PD: 7/24/17
    Biometrics: 9/2/17

It would be wise to do a new one. If this one was done in 2017 and submitted to uscis, Then it would be valid. But if it is just sealed in an envelope in your possession, it is not valid. Actually, USCIS is now requiring I-693 medicals to be filed within 60 days of the date the Civil Surgeon signs the medical exam.
You can submit the form at anytime during the process, but we Have to be mindful of the 60 days validity.
Let?s say the surgeon signed your form, January 1, 2019 then you have until March 1, 2019 to submit it. I hope that helps
    I-130 PD Jan 17, 2018
    I-485 Sent April 2018, PD Jan 17, 2018
    Fingerprint completed: May 4 2018
Case ready to be scheduled for interview: Sept 13, 2018
    Waiting for interview......

      But what about this?

I'm submitting medical AFTER November 8, 2018. Surgeon signed form AFTER i signed benefit with USCIS. According to the USCIS website, the form is valid for 2 years. The 60 days validation is only if you did your medical more than 60 days BEFORE applying for AOS:

"In all cases, a Form I-693 signed by a civil surgeon more than 60 days before the applicant files the underlying benefit application is insufficient for evidentiary purposes as of the time of its submission to USCIS. The table below illustrates these scenarios."

Please, correct me if i'm wrong!

Ok I see your point and you might be right. Since you?re bringing yours to the interview, it should be good for two years from the date the surgeon signed it.
Prepare to defend yourself as the officer might not be fully aware of the new rules details.

However, for the other user, his i693 form is not valid because it seems like it was signed more than 60 days before submission.
