Temporary x permanent green card

Hello guys.
I heard if you are married for more than 2 years and you applied to adjustment of status, they will grant to your spouse the permanent green card (10 years), but what about if your interview waiting is more than 2 years. Are they gonna give you the temporary or permanent?

From what I read, if the interview/approval is after the 2 year anniversary, then it could (will?) be a 10 year card.

It depends on the date you become a permanent resident, which is the date you enter the US on your immigrant visa, or the date your AOS is approved, and this should also be the "resident since" date on your green card. They don't always approve AOS on the same date as the interview; it will be on the date of the interview or later.
