Adjustment of Status "HELP"

hi friends..

my sister is a US citizen she petition me last may 2006, and i have a mulitiple visa(visitor) to the US., if i came back to the US is it possible that i adjust my status for permanent residence or maybe a working visa?? is that possible., can anyone help me .. any information will be a big help ...
