Can I still apply for adjustment of status?

Hi, I am a foreign RN currently in the U.S. on a tourist visa. I was given until September to stay. I am considering applying for adjustment of status. Can I do that with two months left on my I-94? Do I risk overstaying? Need your advice. Thanks!

Once youre in legal status, you can file for adjustment .........once the application is received by USCIS, you remain in leagl status even if your I-94 expires during th eprocess.
