Hi there

U can enter as tourist and marry and apply for I485 & 130 concurrently within 90days so long ur spouse is US citizen. But get ready marriage, money order, payslips, employement letter and income tax return. U can find out more on USIC website or call them ( its a long wait getting an officer to answer your call). I entered as a tourist and married my husband and now waiting for an appointment with USIC officer. There are a lot of paper work to fill and get ready though.

You are correct. If you have the subjective intent to immigrant when you enter on a B (tourist) visa, you have committed immigration fraud and it is a bar to adjustment. While there's an automatic waiver for those who overstay visas or engage in unauthorized work and then marry citizens, there isn't for fraud. So, while you may or may not get caught, I certainly wouldn't recommend it. I don't think it will take a full year to get a K-visa. It takes about 120 days to adjudicate the petition... a month or so get get the apt. in London... a little time for an attorney to file the I-130 (a prerequisite) and get a receipt notice. etc...
