Hi, i am a little concerned about my interview, i am from middle east and i am married to an african american (wife). Some one told me that they will reject or delay our case because we are from two different cultures, especially since she is an african american and i am from a region that is not very popular among the americans. Do you think the officers are going to give us a hard time because of this.

The officers look at the totality of the circumstances of the marriage. Culture and race are just two of the fcators and they are not viewed in isolation. Where everything else is O.K and suggestive of a bonafide marriage, it will not matter if she's from Timbuctu and youre from Mars or whether she's blue and you're pink. Make sure you have everything well documented and every little piece of paper that shows that youre married and living in the same household
should go with you. Take every picture that youve taken since marraige with you, be confident and polite and just relax. It will be O.K. It's their job to suggets that the marriage is a fraud, don't get too rattled and always remain calm and polite. If the officer leaves the room be careful how you act and what you say while he/she is gone. Its always videotaped. Good luck!............and photocopy everything before you go!
