I-485 still pending AOS interviewed last Nov. 2005

Hello everyone,

My case was transfered Jan 2005 to local office in Newark, NJ and got a letter of AOS interview in November 2005. My husband is the primary petitioner here, got his GC in 2002, mine is still pending and I dont know what to do. It's been 8-9 mos already, I havent received any letter from them. I called their 1-800 number but the rep will just tell you the case status online where "the case was being transfered to local office in NJ. I am getting worried about this. Do you think writing a letter to the immigration officer who interviewed us would help speed up my case? I dont know what to write really....Im afraid it would annoy him? Please help. Any suggestion is highly appreciated. Take care everyone.

Why write a congressman when she can make an appt with infopass and go in and speak with an immigration officer to find out whats causing the delay?........incidentally the delay while very long is really not that unusual if its due to waiting on backgrund checks.
