  • call for 2nd time interview for 1-485 -- Need help please

I had my first interview done in july and it went good . Though the officer gave very hard time to me and my wife with alot of questions but i believe that it went Good enough.
officer asked me at the end of my interview that if any thing i wana tell him and i let him know about my DUI ticket.
He told me to submit the court letter reagrding my arrest for Drunk driving ticket and i did send him the same day.He also advised me that he will let me know in the mail regarding his decission.
Now today on 12 august i recieved a letter again to show up for interview 2nd time.
Its a same letter i recieved for my first interview and this time again they want all documents again .
Doest make sense to me that why they want every thing to show them again.
MY QUESTION is that is there any one here in this forum has gone through the same situation like me ?????????????????

Good thing i got my work authorixation after my first interview. so i m assuming that my finger print came back.

plz share ur experiences regarding this situation.

A second interview is usually a fraud interview and its possible that you will be interviewed separately this time. Make sure you have all your documentation in order and that your answers are consistent with those given at the first interview. there is nothing you can do and no way to know exactly what will be asked...so just prepare yourself and be confident although you might want to really pay closer attention to the place where you both live.....how many windows, color of paint, carpet, telephone, bed spread, who took a shower first, what side of bed you sleep on ....little but sometimes significant stuff in this context

well i have gone through this separate interview first time .
he asked alot of questions and 95 % was accurate.
He started with her and spent almost 30 minutes with her and then he interviewed me for almost same time.
I m just worried that is it only me who is going through this or it happens with others too and why usually they do it.
I assumed after first interview that he didnt give the approval coz of the result for my finger prints not back and he wanted the DUI court disposition letter as well.
That time i was not even having my work authorization .
but later in july after 3 weeks of my interview i recieved The work card .
is it a FLAG for any thing or he wants to stamp my passport that why calling me back.

Yes its usually a red flag. They dont call you back just to stamp your passport. Once you leave you would ahve to wait for the approval and then reuest on your own to have it stamped. Were you separarted from the beginning or after a few minutes of questioning together?...............there is a bright side though....they could have sent you a notice of intent to deny without interviewing you again...if everyhting is o.k then they could approve it on the spot again.............but its not because of your DUI ( if so, I dont think your spouse would be required to attend) and you will definitely be interviewed again. It might be in your best interest to retain an attorney and hav ethem accompnay you to the interview

Well we were separated from the begining. he called my name and told me to let my wife go with him first and also told her to get all documents and when i went it he already have in front of him what he asked for from her to show her .
Does it make any difference that we interviewd separately from begining
or after few minutes he separated us .
          plz reply.

Its more common to interview together nad if something does not seem right to spearate the couples. It makes no sense trying to figure out evry reason why it was done how it was done. get yourself a good attorney, try and rmeember clearly your answers in the last interview and ensur ethat all your documentation are in order.
