  • About Adjustment of Status wait time

I am going to apply for GC on the basis of marriage to US Citizen. If someone can tell me how long would it take to get EAD and eventually GC. Coz some people tell me if takes 3 months to get GC now a days and some says ita takes more than that. I am just hoping that I will get EAD in 90 days..please reply..

    Thanks

    ead

    Hi you!
In my case it took a little bit less than 90 days. It depends on your district office, how they manage their load of work. Good luck!

Thanks a lot for your reply. I did not understand the part where you said that it took less than 3 months for you. Were you reffering to GC or EAD?? I am in Louisiana. I hope they are not very busy here.

      Thanks

        ead

oh i am sorry, i was talking about the ead. I am in Boston. A little advice, don't follow up your case with the uscis website and its processing dates, if you don't want to depress he he! I got my notice for interview date 2 months after applying, my interview date schedule 3 months after applying date. I received my advance parole, 3 months after applying, my ead was also approved just recently. When you look at the processing date for advance parole, for example they are stil on May 28th 2006, but i got mine even if i applied on june 16th. About the Green Card, it is on the day of you interview that you can get it (a few days after the interview in the mail), unless your background check has not been cleared yet. Hope that i helped you

Thanks for your help. Yes! It was really helful. Well it would be good if I can get atleast my EAD in 3 months. I also wanted to know how E applications can help in pacing up things. My wife is like 6 weeks pragnent and I want to start working as soon as possible so that I can take care of her better. Any tip to get EAD quickly or getting a temporary work permit till I get my EAD??
