Birth Certificate missing and having trouble in making new one

I am going to apply for GC on the basis of marrying a USC. We got all the paper other then my birth certificate. It was in India and now we found out that it is misplaced somewhere. We dont live in the town I was born. My parents live 400KM away from my place of birth. So we are having real trouble in getting a new one. Can someone please tell me if I can still apply for AOS and atleast get my EAD and submit my birth certificate later. Or I request them some time to submit my birth certificate as it was lost. Please help...Thanks in advance

Go ahead and apply for OAS and EAD...they may request a copy of your birth certificate but then again, they may not, But if they do, theyll give you some time to send it ( between 30-120 days) after requesting it. When youre sending the forms , make copie sof the biographic page sof your passport and send that too.
