I entered the US under H1B in October 2004 (which expires in October 2007) and I am still living in the country and working for the same company.
In April 2006 I married to a US Citizen. I am filling all the necessary forms to apply for 'Adjustment of Status' based on family member in conjunction with my wife (she is filling i-130 / g-325A). Our forms are going to be submitted all together. There is one of the forms that I am having problems with....I-864. It seems that I need a 'sponsor'...? My wife is now back to school and we are living with my income of + 55K. She doesn't has an income or anything that she could use to sponsor me.
QUESTIONS: Do I still need to find another 'sponsor'...? Can I use my income to fill the form...?? Do I need to fill this form at all...? What should I do...?
Any help will be appreciated...Thanks.!
