How many years tax return/w2 we should show

I am applying for GC through marriage to a USC. my wife is my sponser. Does someone know how many years tax return or W2 we will need. As my lawyer said now we just need one years only as they recently changed it. But I checked on USCIS and it still says that we will need 3 years tax return.

That was recently changed and you have to show 1
