I-765 with I-485?

Hello,
My husband arrived this summer with a K-1 visa, and we were married within the 90 days, and I filed his I-485.

Do we need to file an I-765? If we do not, when would my husband be able to legally work?

Is it worth doing the I-765 now while the I-485 is being processed?

If your husband wants to work while his I-485 is being processed then you have to file I-765... otherwise, he won't be able to work till he will have to wait till he gets his green card to be able to work legally

how long is that usually? we just received notice that he will be contacted with his biometrics appointment.. what is next? i am finding such different answers everywhere?

well to get EAD (I-765) is about 3 months, how long until he gets his GC depends on where you live, you can see the timelines at USCIS website...
