I-485 and driver's license

Hi,
I came on K-1 and filed I-485 last year in december. My case got transferred to CSC on June 9th 2006. I got my EAD which is good till next July. My driver license was expiring, I went to get it renewed, but they rejected it on the ground that there is no approval of my case in the system anywhere. Don't know what to do? I have job, don't know how will I commute. Please help!

No ap[proval of what? The EAd or I-485? If its the EAD hav eyou checked online to see what the system says?

You said you have ur EAD that's good enough to get a Driver's License. Go to ur local DMV, present ur EAD/SSN/bank statement/passport etc etc and they should renew ur DL without problem..Good luck.

i got here sep 6, 2006 and file for a drivers permit sept 20,2006 they ask me a sss number,since i dont have one they told me to get it in sss office. The sss office gave me letter that says im not ligible, theres no sss number. The motor vehicle accept it and they ask for proof of resedence too. Then i took my exam and pass and have my drivers permit in paper. Their going to send my drivers permit in card form when im going to submit my marraige license and I-797 form from the uscis.

Your case is State specific....different states have different requiremnts.
