Hi,
I filed my I-485 last december. It was transferred to CSC on June 9th. I have noticed that there are many individuals who have been approved at their interview but did no get green card, because of the FBI check. But so far I have no interview, not any other kind of notice. When I inquired, at CS C, they said my backgound check is not back. Does anyone else have this experience that they want cleared background even before the interview. Please answer.

Background Check

Yes! I have the same problem..I had my inteview in Aug 21 05 and till this date I am waiting for the FBI background check(Over 1 Yr 3mths now). This is crazy.I am researching into the idea of having to sue the USCIS.I heard that this way u can get a yes/no answer.
My marriage to my wife (USC) is in good faith, our relationship is strong as ever, we have been living together for 3 yrs now, I have not lived a single day illegally in this country; so I have full confidence to go ahead and sue the USCIS and get an answer from them.
